Sunday 21st- 14 degrees!

I will start by saying IT IS 14 DEGREES TODAY!!! I don't think I have ever been so cold! We started the day by going to a church service. Sherry, our guide, told us that China is more open to real church service now. She said one can choose what religion they want to participate in, but you cannot "push" someone to join your religion. That is when you get into big trouble. How very sad! The main religion in China is still buddism. I cannot imagine worshipping a golden fat man with a huge belly and goofy grin on his face when he is just a dead, false god. I'm so glad we serve the one true living God! The service was very good, but it's not TBC!!! I missed our church today, and I missed my kiddos in Jr. Church.

We then went to a restaurant. Unfortunately, Mom, it wasn't Carambas. Guess what we ate? You guessed it-----MORE CHINESE FOOD!!!!! We are very tired of chinese food! You are right, Karen, we are real ready for taters! Supposedly, when we get down to Guangzhou, there is ton of American food, even McDonald's right by the hotel!! YIPPEE!!

We went to the Great Wall. I wished it hadn't been 14 degrees. It was really fasinating, but so cold. We didn't walk very far up. Termite's mustache had icicles and I'm not joking! He said he wasn't going to shave it, he could just break it off! You could have guessed who made it the very fartherest in our family. Yep, Tessa. She made it to the third level. She really wanted to go to the top which is five levels, but it was just too cold. If it had been warmer, we all would have walked farther than we did. BBBRRRRRRR..... I'm so glad we decided to bring big coats.

Well, tomorrow is the big day! The day I have longed for, the day I have dreamed about for three plus years. I'm so nervous! I feel so unprepared. It's been 14 1/2 years since I've had a little one. I cannot even begin to tell you the emotions that I am consumed with. The love I have for this child is indescribable. Only God can give you the love for a little boy, who lives clear across on the other side of the world, who you've never met, and who did not grow under your heart, but in it. I love him so much and I can't wait to shower him with that love. I thank you Lord for choosing me to be the mother of this child, but I ask for your help so that we might raise him according to your will. May he one day come to know you as his personal Lord and Savior!
Please pray for a smooth transition for Toryn. It will be a rough day for him. We are taking him away from all he knows. Please pray that we will be prepared for him also.

Our love to you all,

This was not a "staged" picture. Treagan really had this disgusting look on his face when he saw the soup. It looked like slimmy boogers and little brains floating around! It was left untouched! (We don't order, they order for us!)

Tessa has gotten down how to use the chopsticks.

The frozen Kendrick's on the Great Wall.

The Squatty Potty! Disgusting!

Brrrrrr....Thought about you all when it was so cold here today. It ws so hot when we were at the Great Wall in July- I can't imagine it being that cold. I can't wait to get up in the morning and read about Gotcha Day. I hope that sweet little boy welcomes all of that love. I will keep an easy transition in my prayers. Happy travels- there should be at least a KFC in your province. Even the middle of nowhere where we were had one. We broke down and ate there once.

You all look so cold. Is there not a Mcdonalds there? We all missed you in Junior Church today. We are praying for you. One day when Toryn is older he will realize how really blessed he is to have such an awesome Christian family.
